The catalog for’s Great Western Online Sale is now available online, offering 31 horses bred and based in the western regions of the U.S.

Bidding is currently open for the sale, and it will close Tuesday, Aug. 18.

The sale is being held in conjunction with the Colorado Thoroughbred Breeders Association, with racing-age prospects and younger horses bred in Colorado, Wyoming, and Kentucky.

Included in the catalog are 19 yearlings, six broodmares, two unraced racing prospects, one racing prospect with two additional off-track horses on offer.

Among the offerings are a pair of yearlings from the first crop of Wyoming stallion Trojan Nation, who ran in the 2016 Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes. A colt from the first crop of Kentucky sire Shaman Ghost is also included in the sale.


Broodmares in the catalog are offered in-foal to Mucho Macho Man, Save Big Money, Too Much Bling, and Zip Quik.

Also on offer is the Colorado stallion Zip Quik, a 13-year-old son of City Zip who was a Grade 2-placed juvenile during his on-track career. He has 12 winners from his first 29 foals to race.
