So what does this all mean? The retrograde points to a slowing down, and because Venus and Jupiter the lesser and greater benefics are involved, the chances are that economic activity is going to slow down considerably over the next months (yes, that is a worry), and a time of greater reflection can take hold.
However a stunning link between the Sun and Pluto all week, gives us an opportunity to be adaptive, and to realign our life directions in as positive a way as possible within these circumstances.
And Mercury returning to Gemini can also encourage us to be more nimble, and dexterous when it comes to our ideas and how we interact with others.
With Mercury and Mars in a tight right angle for the first two days however, it is possible that there can be some tensions, and perhaps most of all about balancing the welfare of citizens, Saturn in Aquarius, with economic concerns, Mercury in Taurus.
Venus and Neptune also continue their draining a right angle, which will continue ’till 28 May. So anything to do with relationships, that are not based on very clear foundations, can be set to be a muddle at best, and rather deceitful at the worst. The Quarter Moon points towards tensions in friendships, or a battle between reality and idealism in terms of politics or finance.
Mind from mid week through to the end of the way Mercury forges a sparkling Semi Sextile, this 30° gap, is very enabling, and encourages us to be as open-minded and innovative as possible in our approach.
If we can recognise that these retrogrades this week, along with the already reversing Pluto, are the heavens cautionary influence over the next five months, helping us to refocus our hopes more longer term, and for now just work on step-by-step the strategies as best we can.
